Tops & Blouses

Before I became a mom, I wore whatever I wanted. Cropped tops, Tight fitted tanks, Camis, etc. However, after having baby my style has completely changed. I now crave more elegance, modesty, and articles of clothing that will last me years instead of months. I selected these tops based on quality, elegance, functionality, price point, and/or fabric blends with more than 50% cotton or linen.
Casual
If you’re going for a more casual and everyday look, then having a few go-to tops like a Flowy Loose Fit Tank, Cropped T-Shirt, Slim Fit Tee, Oversized Tee, or a Racerback Tank would elevate your everyday style. These types of shirts have multiple colors to choose from, and they can easily be paired with shorts, skirts, or jeans. Additionally, the best part is they are all made with majority cotton and are super affordable!
Check out the different shirt options below.

Business Casual
In my “Corporate Girl Era,” I loved a good business casual look! You can mix and match blouses, polos, turtle necks (short and long sleeve), blazers, and more. I love the look and versatility of a Classic Black Polo (I love this shirt by the way), Satin Tank/Cami, or a White Button Down Shirt. You could dress these up with accessories or wear them plain for a more casual vs. business casual look. Also, you can’t go wrong with having a simple black or white shirt to choose from when browsing through your closet.
Bodysuits
You NEED to have at least two bodysuits on hand. I believe the key to choosing the right bodysuit is choosing neutral tones ( white, black, tans, and creams) and ensuring it fits and contours to your body. There is, however, a major difference between a bodysuit and a body shaper, I’ll explain.
A Bodysuit is a slim-fitting garment like a one-piece swimsuit or a leotard that can be paired with clothing.
A Body Shaper or Girdle is meant to be worn under clothing to slim down or hide some of the body parts you may deem “unflattering.” I put “unflattering” in quotation marks because we women can be pretty hard on ourselves for certain body changes that we could be embracing instead of hiding. Also, yes, I’m speaking from experience, but I’m working on it.
I selected what I consider to be the top bodysuits based on style, pricing, and pairability.

- Casual 5 Pack: Casual, Stretchy, and Looks like a Fitted Tee.
- Sexy Sleeveless Racer Back Halter: Multiple Colors and Pairs well with Jeans, Slacks, Etc.
- Square Neck Thong Bodysuit: Sexy and Casual with Cami Straps.
Dickey’s & Vests
I first saw a Dickey while watching The Big Bang Theory, and never in my life would I think I’d be telling someone about them, but honestly, these things are so cute and I can now see what the hype is about.
If you’re thinking to yourself, “What is a dickey?” it’s basically a turtle neck cut “hamburger style.” This helps because you can wear them under your clothing, and you don’t have to worry about tucking them in. Cool right?!
This Elegant ruffle-collared V-neck Dickey and the Breathable Hollow Out Dickey will immediately transform your outfit from basic to chic. The V-neck collar adds a flare to accentuate your neck, jawline, and collarbone, and they are both 100% cotton!
Next, we have Vests. Vests are perfect for layering your outfit and adding some dimension. There are button-down vests, sweater vests, cropped vests, puffer vests, and more.
The two I want to recommend are button-down vests and this is what I love about them.
- Sleeveless Linen Vest: Multiple color options, Plunging V-neck, Linen and Cotton, and a “show stopper” piece.
- Crewneck Button Down Denim Vest: Denim, buttons from neck to navel, and flares at the hips.
Dresses

Spring and Summer = Dress Season! I’ve always been a dress girly, but after I had my son, my stomach did not go back to “normal,” and I’ve since had to figure out what dress styles work for me. I’ve grown to love shirt dresses, flowy dresses, dresses with prints and designs, and styles that flatter other parts of my body, like my back and legs.
Here are 10 Dress Styles that stood out to me based on color, design, affordability, and style.
- PRETTYGARDEN: Women’s Short Sleeve Mini Dress
- Chouyatou: Long Sleeve Button-Down Shirt Dress
- Chouyatou: Flowy Swing, Back Cut Out, Maxi Dress
- GRAPENT: Denim Jean Shirt Dress
- MEROKEETY: Casual Maxi Sundress, Summer Beach Dress.
- CHARTOU: Summer Spaghetti Strap Linen Maxi Dress
- Boho Smocked Ruffle Beach Babydoll Mini Dress
- Zilcremo: Loose Sundress, V Neck Split, Tshirt Maxi Dress
- LILLUSORY: Bodycon Beach Tank Ruched Mini Dress
- Bohemian, Floral Print, Button-Down, Lantern Sleeve Mini Dress
Jeans & Pants

I love a good pair of high-waisted ripped jeans, but as I’ve gotten older (28), I’ve realized that you need at least one pair of jeans without holes or rips. If you’re going for the “Clean Girl Aesthetic,” you can add one of the tops listed above, with some Classic High Rise Tapered Jeans and some cute tennis, or Kitten Heels ( which we will get to soon in the Heels and Sandals Section).
Trust me, I get it. Buying pants, especially jeans, online can be a little scary. There’s no dressing room, no mirrors, and no FaceTiming your best friend to say, ” How do these look on me ?” but here’s where I come in to take a little of that pressure away.
I compiled a list of Jeans, Capris, Beach Trousers, and Business Casual Slacks based on reviews, material, style, how frequently they were purchased and kept, and how easily they can be used to create 10+ styles.
| Description | Style | Price & More |
|---|---|---|

Purses

If you’re anything like me, you may believe there’s no such thing as having too many purses. They range in color, texture, mini, large, shoulder bag, tote, and more, oh, the possibilities are endless! However, I also believe that having a quality purse doesn’t have to cost you over or around $300-$500!
Tote Bags
Now, if you’re looking for what I consider to be a great “Mom Bag,” then check out the Oversize Pu Leather Tote. I purchased this bag in black and added a cute Cherry bag Charm to it and I immediately fell in love. This bag is so popular right now that 400+ people (including myself) bought it in the last month.
Another bag that’s similar to the one above is the Designer Tote Big Bucket Handbag. It has the same large tote design, but it has more designer-style gold hardware and a very “grown woman” red interior. My final tote recommendation is technically considered a “Beach Tote,” but stay with me and I’ll explain.
This Tan Beach Mesh Tote can not only be used to add texture to your style, but it doubles as an everyday bag or a grocery shopper as well. I’ll admit, this one is a little ” outside the box,” but that’s fashion, taking risks and wearing things outside of their “Intended” purpose!
Shoulder Bags
Okay, let’s talk about a “going out with friends,” and I only need my phone, lip gloss, my credit or debit card, and a small hand sanitizer type of purse. The black Tote Handbag Mini Clutch with Zipper is going to be the bag for you. It’s classic black, sleek, cute, and goes with so many outfits!
Now, if you want a purse that makes people stop and say, ” Your bag is so cute, where did you get it?” then I have three options for you.
- Harlee Shoulder Bag: Beige, Abstract Shoulder Design with Imported Leather.
- Telena Shoulder Bag: 2 Removable Straps, Shoulder & Crossbody with Vegan Leather.
- Small Crescent Shoulder Bag: Basic yet stylish, with 20 different color options.
These bags are not only great in quality, but they are also great additions to your purse rotation and statement pieces every time you put them on.
Crossbodies
A Crossbody comes in handy for a few different reasons.
- They allow you to be a little more “hands-free”.
- Save from “purse snatchers” because it’s wrapped around your body.
- It has the same function as a fanny pack, but it is more elegant.
In addition to functionality, I’ll now add some color to the mix. The Envelope Wristlet Clutch Crossbody Bag is also a show-stopper. This bag comes in many colors, but the Champaign Pink stood out to me the most. It’s subtle but yet a great pop of color to add to an outfit. Another honorary mention goes to the Leather Triple Compartment Cell Phone Crossbody. The name speaks for itself, it comes with long Pu Leather Straps, a space for your phone, Multiple color options including Pink and Olive Green, and a slot for your cards, its a win, win, win!
Heels & Sandals

If you aren’t into wearing heels yet, this may be the time to start. You can take it slow with a pair of Kitten Heels.
Over the years, Kitten Heels have made a major comeback, and they are just the thing to elevate your look and give you that “grown-woman aesthetic“.
I’m working on getting out of the headspace where I feel like heels are for “dressing up,” so when I saw these Lace-Up Heeled Sandals, I just knew they were the shoes for me. I got them in the color black because, well, black goes with everything, and for some reason, I just didn’t have any casual black heels in my closet.
So, once I get my spring pedicure, I’ll definitely be adding these to my daily looks.

I thought these next two would be perfect for women working in banking, call centers, or general office buildings. First, we have a Beige Open Toe Slip-on Mule. Pretty similar to a platform penny loafer, but in heel form. The second is a Clear Stiletto Mule. I suggest the color All Black-clear, as sometimes the “plain clear” begins to turn a slight yellow color over time.
Sandals
Last but not least, sandals.
So here’s the scene: it’s summer, and you’ve just done your hair and makeup. You put on one of the dress suggestions that I mentioned above, and you want to be cute but comfy. That means no heels today, right? So you look in your closet, and all you have are heels, sneakers, or better yet, house shoes. This is where having a neutral tone yet comfy pair of sandals comes in.
Here are the sandals I would choose to have on hand, and why.
- Foam Platform Sandals: Lightweight, Multiple Neutral Colors, Arch Support, and Adjustable Buckles.
- Yoga Mat Thong Flip Flops: Thick Cushion, Arch Support, 22 Color Options, and Currently the #1 Best Seller on Amazon.
- Casual Strappy Sandal: Comfortable, Basic, and Easy to pair with dresses and jeans.
Conclusion
Every day, women take care of others. We are moms, sisters, daughters, wives, girlfriends, and everything in between.
